Setting Up the AI Agent
Description:
The AI Agent helps automate customer interactions via SMS or chat, answering questions, booking appointments, and more. You can personalize its name, behavior, and responses to fit your business.
Steps to Configure Your AI Agent
1. Navigate to AI Agent Configuration
- Go to your dashboard.
- Click on the AI Assistant then a dropdown will open and click on Agent Config button.
2. Set the Agent’s Name
- Click on the agent’s name (default is “Sarah”) to edit it.
- Type your preferred name for the AI agent (e.g., “Alex” or “CleanBot”).
- Click away or press Enter to save the new name.
3. Customize the Agent’s Prompt (Script)
- In the large text area labeled “Configure the system prompt for your AI SMS Agent”, enter instructions or a script that guides how your agent responds.
Example:
- “You are an expert cleaning service assistant. Greet customers by name, answer questions about our services, and help them book appointments. Be friendly and concise.”
- The prompt shapes the agent’s tone, knowledge, and abilities.
4. Save Your Configuration
- If you make any changes, the Save button will appear.
- Click Save to apply your updates.
5. Test the AI Agent
- Click the Test [Agent Name] button.
- A chat window will open—type a message to see how the agent responds.
- Use this to preview and refine your prompt until you’re satisfied with the agent’s replies.
Tips & Best Practices
- Use clear, specific instructions in your prompt to get the best results.
- Test the agent with common customer questions to ensure helpful, accurate responses.
- You can update the agent’s name and prompt anytime to reflect changes in your business or branding.
- If you need help with prompt writing, ask support for examples or use the default script as a starting point.
